Problem

The boat nearly missed picking us up because station 8 at the hospital isn’t used often. We were told to “jump up and down and wave our arms” in the future and to make sure we are seen. This is putting the burden on the rider. Bad business.

Solution

Add blinking beacons to the numbered location sign, which operate like crosswalk signals. Waiting passengers would push a button at the desired stop, lighting the beacons making it easy for the captains of the water taxis to see when they needed to stop.
